Nicholas-Applegate had four funds ranked in the top ten in Morningstar’s Separate Account / Commingled Fund Database (Dec. 31, 2007).
Nicholas-Applegate was a winner in California’s Best Places to Work contest sponsored by Employers Group, a human resources advocacy for California employers. Twenty winners were chosen from more than 400 applicants in four size categories. NACM took fourth place in the mid-sized category (100-499 employees).
PIMCO investment team and Bill Gross were named “Fixed-Income Fund Manager of the Year” for the third time in ten years.
PIMCO was named “Credit Investor of the Year” by ‘Derivatives Week’ magazine for calling “the top of the credit peak before its peers and… benefiting from the widening in spreads.”
ASIA PACIFIC
AllianzGI Hong Kong won three Lipper Fund Awards for: “Best Mixed Asset USD Aggressive Fund Over 3 Years” (after taking top honors in the same category last year); “Best Equity Asia Pacific Small and Mid-Cap Fund Over 3 Years”; and “Best Equity Korea Fund Over 3 Years”.
RCM Asia Pacific was awarded 12 Lipper Fund Awards in various categories.
RCM Asia Pacific received three Asia Asset Management awards for “Best MPF Manager” 3-year and 5-year and the “Global Equity 3-year Merit Award”. In addition, the Asia Pacific ex. Japan and China funds were awarded an “A” rating by Standard & Poor's.
EUROPE
AllianzGI Germany received two Morningstar 2008 Fund Awards, gaining 2nd place in German second-line stocks and 3rd place in industry materials stocks.
AllianzGI Ireland won 1st place in the Morningstar 2008 Fund Awards in the Eastern European Emerging Markets Stocks category.
AllianzGI UK won the “Best Emerging Markets Group” at the January 29th Professional Advisor Magazine’s awards.
