A global network built on a transparent structure

Allianz Global Investors AG is the holding company, in which Allianz Group gathers a vast majority of its asset management activities. Allianz SE is the sole shareholder of the holding company. Mirroring the four target markets of Allianz Group's asset management strategy, the holding company is divided into four regional holding companies with Allianz Global Investors AG as their sole shareholder.

As a holding company, Allianz Global Investors is responsible for the business strategy. It coordinates the Group's global asset management activities, but does not operate as an asset manager itself. Consequently, it consists of global management units, supported by the corporate center.

The four regional holding companies - Allianz Global Investors US Holdings Inc., Allianz Global Investors Europe Holding GmbH, Allianz Global Investors Deutschland GmbH and Allianz Global Investors Asia Pacific GmbH - integrate local distribution platforms within their region. Reducing complexity, this transparent structure ensures autonomy to the operating entities to a large extent and implies fiscal advantages as well. Moreover, it supports corporate governance.
