Julie Koo appointed Head of Distribution Asia Pacific at AllianzGI
05.03.2026 | Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI), one of the world’s leading active asset managers, announced today that Julie Koo will be joining the firm as Head of Distribution, Asia Pacific. In this role, Julie will lead the development and growth of AllianzGI’s business in Asia Pacific, where clients across the region have entrusted the firm with the active management of USD 134bn of their assets¹.
Based in Hong Kong, Julie will join the company on 1 May 2026 and become a member of AllianzGI’s Executive Committee, reporting to Tobias Pross, CEO of Allianz Global Investors.
Julie brings over three decades of international experience in institutional and wealth management across Asia, Europe and North America. Her expertise encompasses business strategy, client relationship management, team leadership and product development within top-tier global firms. She joins AllianzGI from Citi Wealth, where she was previously its Head of Partnerships & Relationship Management.
